We are a five minute walk from Richmond train and tube station, seven miles from central London and 30 minutes from Heathrow.
There are three main function rooms suitable for events for as few as five people to as many as 200, and plenty of car parking with EV charging points.
THE PERFECT VENUE
Set in the heart of Old Deer Park next to Kew Gardens, the club provides a romantic back-drop, ideal for wedding breakfasts and all other family celebrations or commemorations. The Viscount Room with full-length windows and surrounding balcony, overlooks the golf courses and their beautiful surroundings. Our conscientious, attentive staff can help with all the planning and will be there on the day to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

There is a choice of three superb function rooms, two with superb views over the courses, which can host events ranging from five to 200 guests. Our chefs can provide everything from full banquets to light lunches with a full choice of other catering options.

The Viscount Room. Sophisticated and contemporary is the best way to describe this stunning space with its vaulted ceiling and panoramic views over the JH Taylor and Pam Barton golf courses.
Capacity: 150 seated, 200 standing
Suitable for: conferences, parties, breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

The Pam Barton Room. A delightful space, with its own bar area, and stunning views.
Capacity: 10-40 seated, 80 standing
Suitable for: drinks receptions, board meetings, off-site workshops, and family lunch and dinner events.
Services: Air conditioning, WIFI, TV screen, whiteboards and flipcharts.
The Henry Cotton Room. Perfect for business meetings, presentations or small functions, breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Capacity: 50 seated, 80 standing

On the ground floor, we have an attractive, large outdoor piazza for drinks and snacks and the Haslam Lounge which can become another dining area.
Can I book the group golf package with additional food choices?
Absolutely no problem. We are very flexible and can offer a range of food options.
For golf events can you provide prizes and gift bags for all our players?
This can be arranged with the help from our Pro Shop, stocking a wide range of gift options.
Who is the main point of contact on the day and prior to our event?
Our assistant secretary, Emma Dickinson, is your point of contact both before the event and on the day. We will work very closely with you on the run up to the occasion to and on the day ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
I would like to hold a party for 150 people – do you cater for large events?
Yes, we have three function rooms on the 1st floor of the Clubhouse. The Viscount Room will seat up to 180 people comfortably. Emma Dickinson, our assistant secretary will be delighted to discuss your event in detail and to show you our clubhouse.
I am planning a business meeting and a conference. Do you cater for smaller meeting and do you provide audio visual technology?
Our clubhouse offers flexible multi-purpose rooms, ideal for business meetings, board meetings, off-sites and seminars. Hiring the entire upper floor provides you with three rooms and all the facilities needed for a large conference and its break-out sessions. All modern audio visual equipment can be provided.
For our wedding we are looking for a venue in a romantic setting whilst accessible by car and public transport. Would this be the case at Royal Mid-Surrey?
Set in the heart of Richmond-Upon-Thames, on the south bank of the River Thames and adjacent to Kew Gardens, the Club is a romantic location, ideal for your wedding breakfast. It’s close proximity to Richmond station and its car park, equipped with EC chargers, make it a very accessible venue.
